On Saturday, December 2, 2017, Curry's very own Alexandra Nieves, Abigail Ruiz, and Adaleen Ferreiro participated in the INNOV@TE-CTEC at Miami Dade Wolfson Campus.

With the leadership of Mr. Rios, the students enrolled in the 'Mobile App Challenge' and worked laborious hours to create an App for the detection of natural disasters using images of pre and post-disaster.

After an intense interview following the presentation of their APP,  Curry was rewarded with First Place, along with congratulations from various participating schools.

"Spring Dance"
Posted May 12, 2018

Approximately 250 students filled the courtyard of Lamar Louise Curry on Friday, May 11, 2018 to bring a moment of relaxation after weeks of testing.  Music from Bruno Mars to Prince filled the air, pizza and snacks energized their bodies, and the never-ending conversations among friends filled their ears for three hours.  Thanks to Curry's wonderful P.T.S.A. for hosting another successful event.  Special thanks to Ms. Lee for 'securing' the area and all the teachers and staff members who participated in making the event enjoyable for students.
